Hi, I have a Spectre and its never really given me any problems. Today, I went to charge it and its not charging. I've run all the tests and even tried using the external charger to charger other devices and thsi works fine. I think my laptop just isn't identifying the extwernal power source and I'm not sure why
I have an exam in 3 days and really need some help with ths. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!!

Can you still log into Windows with the power adapter connected to mains power?
If you have run the Power test and it passed, you will need to replace the battery with a new, preferably genuine HP battery.

HP Battery description and part number
(4-cell, 60.7-Wh, 3.946-Ah, Li-Ion, includes cable) L60373-005
You can purchase a new battery from an online vendor. See the search I did below.

Knock-off or gray market batteries are not genuine and using those parts, the laptop may not function as expected.
Replacing the battery is not difficult. All you need is patience, a jewelers screwdriver set and a place to put the tiny screws when you remove them so they won't be lost.
