Laptop won't close

i have the HP ENVY LAPTOP 13 When it first arrived, I realized that the laptop lid is unable to close properly. A half-inch gap always appears between the lid n the keyboard everytime I close the lid. I have noticed that this is a problem that other have had with my same laptop model. Because the laptop does not close properly. I end up wasting battery and am concerned that my laptop is over heating

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
