please tell me how long will my 2012 model hppavillion type 14b015dx lappie last before conking off...its still going strong after 6 years but i have now on intution starting backing up my data...i dont intend to sell it off..but wish to knowits life expectancy

It was freely updated to win 10 from win 8...still updates regularly!!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

There's no such thing as life expectancy in electronic devices, it only works as good as you take care of it. I've had a PC for over 25 years, and another that didn't work over an year.

Although, as per your product warranty, you can only have a warranty for up to 5 years as there are no warranties available after that, since the product is deemed obsolete.
