Trying to determine the location of my memory ram in order to upgrade; read the support docs which didn't give me a great deal of info; believe they are located under the keyboard, but docs didn't specifically spell that out for my model

Hi,
On page 29 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM, you need to remove bottom cover of PC (page 24)

Hope it helps,

However if you look on page 1 of service manual you can see that the max RAM for your system is 16GB of 2133Mhz RAM (2x8GB) which your PC already came with. So no further upgrade is possible.

The memory module are located on the back of the laptop. Please remove the back panel and install your new modules purchased. Also as a tip please try to fill in with maximum allowed capacity per slot. #HPExpertDay
