I can't find a compatible dock station for my new HP Spectre X360 laptop.

Your machine does not have a proper docking port therefore you have to use USB dock. Please enter your requirement and it will find for you the one you need on market today including some HP products:

 

        https://www.displaylink.com/products/universal-docking-stations

I bought one of these Universal docking stations from your link, but t's not powering my laptop. I bought the wavelink one.

this is the most essential need I have for a docking station.

any of these could do it?
