unable to get hp3 pen working on elitebook 830G7. Pen connects but buttons d nothing, hp pen control is incompatable with this computer, looking for suggestions to get pen working, thanks

only X360 laptops can use an optical pen, the other models can only use a finger or a passive pen

can you recommend a passive stylus pen KNOWN TO WORK with the elitebook 830G7, I currently have 3 pens recommended from HP support that DO NOT WORK, and its very frustrating, spending $ 50 per a useless stick, thanks

there is no such thing as a passive optical pencil, they are passive and that is what they are called. Remember they only work if you have a touch screen and can use your fingers, an example of a passive pen can be seen here, it has nothing specific, they all work as if you were using your finger.
