Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Not sure if 'notebook' is the proper category, but I'm looking for a replacement motherboard. After barely 1-1/2 years, mine shot craps.

Part #934908-001

 

Any hope?

Probably not ...

 

HP has their laptop motherboards made under contract by third parties -- and neither they, nor HP, sell those same motherboards to the general public.

 

You MIGHT be able to find on at an online laptop parts supplier -- but understand that it will be USED, because it will have been pulled from another laptop, and might not work properly.

That's not good.

MicroCenter offered to fix it for me. Is that part something they could order?

Sorry, have no idea where MicroCenter gets their parts, so they MIGHT be able to do that.

 

But .. you'd better get some kind of COST commitment from them BEFORE you OK the work, as it could easily go into HUNDREDS of dollars, not just for parts, but for labor as well!
