Hello.

I'm planning to add SSD M.2 to my laptop. what's interface on m.2 in my laptop, SATA or PCIe(NVMe)? Motherboard is HP8217, but i can find specification on it:(. in service guide (  https://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1037461839.pdf )  is written that can be used SATA 3 and PCIe3x4, but i can't find any configuration for switching between them.

Thank.

Hello. Thanks for manual. But it's for OMEN laptop. Anyway I bought SSD Samsung M.2 EVO 970. How can i make it bootable? Windows find this ssd, but in bios boot order list there is no ssd, only HDD and USB.

My apologies. Here is the correct Service Guide: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06325755.pdf

Try disabling the Secure Boot and Enable the Legacy Boot and check if that helps
