M.2 NVMe ssd supported?

Product Name: HP Pavilion 15 Gaming AK007TX
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does the M.2 slot of the laptop support NVMe ssd or just M.2 sata ssd

What dimensions will fit ?

And does it have to be enabled in the BIOS?

Re: M.2 NVMe ssd supported?

SATA only and it is a 2280 form factor M.2 disk.

Manual

See p. 2. A samsung Evo 860 M.2 would be an example of something that would work fine. The use of such a disk is enabled in the BIOS. You do not need to make any adjustments except perhaps to the boot order. The system will see that you have installed an M.2. You can get software onto it in several ways. Happy to discuss that if you wish.

Re: M.2 NVMe ssd supported?

Thanks for the quick response.

Re: M.2 NVMe ssd supported?

Not at all its just what HP sold. You can use a 500, 1 TB, 2 TB whatever your budget permits.
