HP 15-bs539TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i have a Notebook purchased in 2017 HP 15-bs539TU with processor i5-7200U, 4GB RAM & 1TB hdd, after every windows update its getting slower and slower, i want to know whether i can add M.2 ssd parallelly to hdd for bootup and software installation, SO IS THERE M.2 SSD SLOT PRESENT IN MY LAPTOP? & SHIFTING MY GENUINE WIN10 FROM hdd to m.2 ssd CAN VOID MY ORIGINAL WINDOWS OR WILL IT STILL REMAIN NORMAL AND GENUINE?

Hi@Shubhamc, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Yes. You can use the recovery flash drive created by the HP Recovery Manager to install the OS to the M.2 SSD and use it as your boot drive and then use the original drive as storage. Please find the HP 15q Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide.

Opening the notebook and upgrading it will not violate the warranty unless you damage something.    You need to be able to return the notebook to its original hardware configuration in the case of any required warranty repair.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
