Product: 17-j130ea laptop (2014)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I want to install 1 TB M.2 SSD in 17-j130ea laptop. Would it support it?  
Will I need an extra adapter for it?

No you can't, it does not have M.2 slot for storage but it has 2 slots of 2.5" HDD. You can use 2.5" SATA SSD for boot drive and other slot for normal data storage files.
