Does my notebook support M.2 upgrades and if it does, does it support nvme or sata M.2?

Yours is tough to say. At best it will accept a SATA M.2 and models in this series may or may not have an M.2 slot to the left of the hard drive like this:
Start on p. 29 for opening the back cover to check for the slot before buying a SATA M.2 SSD:
