HP Pavilion 15-bc010nb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 128G SATA M2 drive installed and i want to upgrade to a fast 512G M2 ssd.

Can i use the Samsung 960 pro?

@AdDekkers

Welcome to the HP Forums,

We'll be with you until it's all sorted.

Have you checked your service and maintenance guide?

(Click here to access the same, if you haven't done it yet)

I've listed the part numbers along with the storage tested and approved by HP:

  • 128 GB, SATA-3. TLC - 759848-032
  • 128 GB, SATA-3, Value - 827560-017
  • 256 GB, PCIe 3x4 SS, TLC - 847109-005
  • 512 GB, PCIe3x4 SS, TLC - 847110-002

It doesn't matter which brand of drive you get as long as the above information matches.

Keep me posted, as I (Or a trusted colleague) shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again, only in case you don't get back to us, first!

That said, If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us, and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
