Product: Envy x360
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy x360 laptop came with the MPP2.0 tilt pen.  2 buttons on the side, no click or button on the top.

The pen will make things happen when touched on the screen, but I want to use it as a remote clicker when presenting with powerpoint.

I've tried resetting the button functions in the HP pen app but still no joy.

You have to use it on the screen of your computer. It is NOT a remote control.
