HP 15-BS033CL

I have owned my HP notebook since January of 2018. I have always purchased HP products but I think this is it.  First the touchscreen failed. Flickering, white orbs on the screen and folders being opened on their own.  We had to disable the touchscreen or else the laptop would not work. Now one of the hinges is not working properly and the screen is separating from the case enclosing it. We cannot shut the laptop for fear that the screen will completely separate or crack. Of course I am outside my warranty-not that it matters I am told by the extended warranty folks that this sort of thing is not covered in the standard warranty and so therefore unlikely to be covered in the extended warranty. What a joke. This notebook has never been dropped or mistreated.   I can see I am not alone with the hinge issues on notebooks.  Has HP acknowledged that there is a design flaw/defect that causes the screen to separate due to a faulty hinge????  What can I do at this point?  Has HP become junk?   Ughhhhhhh. I would appreciate any suggestions, advice anyone has.  It sounds like its time to switch brands.

This is the kind of response you get from HP. They want to make it look like they give a crap but they don't even get the device right in their ridiculous response.  It's time for another class action suit. I will never by HP products again.

Re: Manufacture defect/flaw with their hinges on HP notebooks?

Thank you for your response, Jennifer. As your printer is 724 days out of warranty, I can setup a repair, but cannot waive the fees associated with the cost. Would you like to proceed with this offer? Alternatively, you can reach out to a local repair shop.
