Max AMD CPU upgrade on HP Pavilion g6-2228dx

my laptop have 4gb of ram and a a6 cpu and wanted to know if a a8 or a10 amd chip would work on this laptop

If we look on page 83 of service manual we see that these processors will work in your system

AMD A10-4600M processor (3.2 GHz/2.3 GHz, 1600 MHz/4 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35W)             683046-001

AMD A8-4500M processor (2.8 GHz/1.9 GHz, 1600 MHz/4 MB L2 cache, DDR3, quad core, 35W)                683048-001

You can also see the steps to upgrtade the processor. Remember to remove any thermal paste and thermal pads between heatsink and chips on motherboard and replace with quality products.
