Since every computer with an x86 processor made since 1994 has the vulnerabilities, your computer had or has them. The real issue is have they been effectively patched by anything you have installed since the first of the year.

The major message: there is no reported issue of any computer being compromised by these up to now purely theoretical

vulnerabilities. Grounds for vigilance but please no panic.

Thanks for answering my question.
