ENVY x360 - 15-bp100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my laptop's memory, I have done some research, unfortunately, the only option I fount is to add an additional 4GB to the existing one.

https://uk.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct4g4sfs824a/ct11858636

I was looking to 16GB (another one 8GB module) or 32GB (two fresh 16GB ones)

My question is, is that upgrade available? what is the maximum allowed memory for the laptop? I downloaded the maintenance manual already, but how where to find compatible parts? here is my memory snapshot. Thanks.

Hi:

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that your notebook only has one memory slot, and the max the slot can take is 1 x 16 GB.

You're very welcome.

Yes, it does say that for the s 15m-bp0xx through 15-bp0xx.

But look what it indicates for the Computer models with model numbers 15m-bp1xx through 15-bp1xx, at the bottom of page 1.

One SODIMM memory module slot

Your notebook is a 15-bp100na, which would fall under the 15-bp1xx series, thus having one memory slot according to the manual.

You can always buy a 16 GB memory chip and if by some chance the manual is wrong and there are two slots, buy a second 16 GB memory chip.

I found this video, at 5:40 memory upgrade, there is 4GB onboard and 4 on the card:

Do you think we can add 16GB to the built-in one and get 20GB without issues in performance as the guy says?

Will this one work? thanks

Hi:

It looks like I missed the fine print on the memory upgrade in the service manual.

According to chapter 1, only the notebooks with the i7-processors support a 16 GB chip.

Notebooks with the i5 processors support 1 x 8 GB.

So I would go with this memory instead.

You don't want gaming memory like the one you posted because it has faster timings than your PC supports.

You can get the above chip in the UK as well...
