Memory & Hard Drive Upgrade

HP Recommended
Pavillion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP laptop is currently under warranty, however I would like to upgrade the hard drive and increase the memory. I assume doing this myself would invalidate the warranty so can anyone advise who HP authorise in the UK to carry out upgrades so the warranty stays intact?

Many thanks

Generally you can remove the back cover to upgrade storage and memory and not impact the warranty, but obviously any damage caused is on you and HP will not warrant your new parts. You could also take it to an HP Service Center but they will not install 3rd party parts so you have to use HP components, which are expensive and may not be the best performing options, other than memory. If you can provide the Model or Product number of the laptop we can show you a Manual and perhaps a video so you can figure out whether its something you can do yourself.
