HP Omen 15 dc0023ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I want to upgrade the memory of my HP Omen 15 dc0023ur. Can't find anywhere where to look max capacity, how many ranks should be in one module and in total, what max speed of the modules acceptable. Guides on the HP website lead to nowhere and there is no such info in the manuals.

Tell me, please, tech specs of supported memory modules or drop a list of those if you have one.

@Reklamapsy

It has 8GB now and supports 32GB max. I believe your machine has same Samsung RAM as mine which is also an Omen 15-dc0xxx machine.

Please use a tool called CPU-Z  to check. If Samsung RAM, you should get similar to the following image after the upgrade:

Hi. Thank you for your reply. Hynix memory is installed in my laptop.

Also, why it shows 1333 Mhz, while the memory is 2666 Mhz?

Hi. I found the list of compatible RAMs and bought this one.

There was 8 Gb memory (1 part) installed and now it's 16 Gb, but should be displayed 32 (as there installed 2 parts by 16 Gb). How to fix that?

Solved. Just placed the second 16 Gb part deeper into the slot.
