Product: Hp 17-BY2503CL

I'm pls king on buying a HP 17-BY2503CL laptop....it comes with 12 gb memory and 1tb hard drive.  Want to know if it can be upgraded to 16gb memory?

The simplest way is to remove 4GB and add SAME existing 8GB to your machine. The following tool will tell you what it is (from SPD tab)

 

         https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/cpu-z/cpu-z_1.95-en.exe 

 

Otherwise please use the following compatible RAM

 

        https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfra266/ct18778784
