So I've ordered a Kingston A1000 240 GB NVMe SSD and want to migrate the OS from my HDD. I am going to use Acronis (recommended by Kingston)to do the cloning. Now, I've seen certain YouTube videos where some Tech Gurus do not recommend cloning/migrating, instead they prefer clean installation. However I do not understand why, and didn't find any proper explanation or reason, except for the fact that sectors on a mechanical drive(HDD) is different than that on a SSD. But for this there's an optimization option in the Software that takes care of the variation. As a first time SSD user I would like to keep things clear and learn before performing anything hence wanted to know if there could be some performance issues or am I good to go with the cloning? I have so many customization and installed programs that I wouldn't want to redo everything once again unless the performance difference is noticeable enough to consider otherwise!
