Hi @So56,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding warranty and battery issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check for Hardware Issues

  • Battery Health: Ensure your battery is in good condition. You can run a battery report if available in your device settings to check the health status.
  • Connections: Verify that all connections are secure and that the battery is properly seated within the device.

2. Power Settings and Usage

  • Adjust Power Settings: Make sure your power settings are optimized for battery usage. You might want to use a "Power Saver" mode to extend battery life.
  • Background Apps: Check for any background applications that may be running unnecessarily and consuming power. Close apps that are not in use.

3. Software Updates

  • Update Drivers and Firmware: Ensure that your operating system and all drivers, especially those related to the battery and chipset, are up to date. This can often resolve issues related to battery performance.

4. Operating System Configuration

  • Display Brightness: Lower the display brightness, as it's a common source of power consumption.
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: Turn off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or GPS when not in use, as they can drain the battery.

5. Conduct Hardware Diagnostics

  • HP Support Assistant: Use tools like the HP Support Assistant on HP devices to run diagnostics and find potential issues.

Regarding the warranty concern, could you please share the following via private message for security:

A clear copy of your purchase invoice that shows the serial number and date of purchase.
A screenshot of your laptop’s system information displaying the same serial number.

How to find the serial number:
Press the Fn + Esc keys on your laptop keyboard, this will open the HP System Information window where you’ll see the serial number listed.

Once I have these details, I’ll escalate this and help get your warranty updated as soon as possible!
