Missing charge sign

Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

Can anyone’s help, 8 have bought my laptop in 2018 but only recently the charging icon when you plug in the charger is not showing, the laptop charges when the laptop is switched off but when I switch it on the laptop does not charge and as mentioned the charging icon has disappeared 

 

I have tried using another HP charger and still I have the same problem 

I have uninstalled and installed the drivers and still the same problem 

I have even uninstalled the drivers and waited till the battery reached 15 % and then switched the laptop off for 30 mins and then re installed the drivers and re started the lap top and still the same problem 

 

if anyone can help as my daughter relies on this laptop for her home schooling
