HP Pavilion X360 14-cd0098tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I've got a HP Pavilion X360 14" Convertible, I was planning to add a 2.5" SSD on top of the 256gb m.2 that's already installed. On the Crucial website it states that there's a slot for 2.5" SSD available. But when checking the laptop, there are no connections, brackets actually installed. Can someone tell me if I am still able to add a 2.5" SSD? If so where can I purchase the connections, brackets that I will need?

Thanks

@bsp1979 Greetings from the HP Community!

You may need the HDD/SSD caddy to connect the drive to the device, and here's the universal part number to help you out, although, having said that, HP does not recommend upgrades and as such, I personally suggest you check with a local tech store to have these changes done, to be on a safer side:

Hard drive rubber gasket/caddy

Full-featured models L18225-001

Full-featured plus models L18226-001

You may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, and If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.
