Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Misreading the instructions, I mistakenly removed the touchpad circuit board under the battery. As soon as I realized what I had done I put it back in place under the bracket and carefully screwed it back in place.

But when I checked it out, the cursor moved just fine, but the right and left click areas did not.  So I pulled it back apart and carefully cleaned the flat plates on the circuit board and the underside of the touchpad itself. I also reseated the ribbon cable ZIF connector. Again with no change.

Looking at the manual, it looks like this is replaced as one piece, the circuit board and the touchpad plate on the keyboard together.

So anyone have any ideas if this can be fixed, or do I need to just order a new board assembly?
