Product: Dv6 2170ee
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hello everyone
I have a dv6-2170ee laptop, it is a pretty old laptop so I am thinking of upgrading it to its limits to serve me better in my work..... so I am wondering if I can replace the i7 Q720 cpu with a better cpu like i7 940xm cpu or maybe even a better one. and if that is possible is it possible after that to increase the amount of ram to 16 GB or is there some kind of motherboard limitation (knowing that I have read that i7 940xm can handle 16 GB ram).
Thanks for your help.

I have one further question... If i connect an external high end desktop GPU through mini PCI plug (instead of wifi card like this https://youtu.be/TH3jDVuHCD8 ) how much of a performance loss should I expect ?
