zBook Studio G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sometime since July 2020,  the mouse attached to my ZBook G3 system began lagging.  Actions involving the mouse became extremely frustrating since it took much longer to position the mouse cursor at a desired location,   I end up overshooting the desired location and then return back. While moving the mouse it would freeze somewhere and I ended doing the action in some other window! The lag is so bad, that I ended up dropping files in the wrong place because of the mouse lag.  I have tried:

Running the HP Support Assistant and ensuring everything is current

Switching from a wireless mouse to a corded one

Switching from Microsoft to HP Z5000

Opening Device Manager and uninstalling the mouse drivers and rebooting/ refreshing

Finally, I thought may be my G3 is getting old and is having trouble supporting 2 x 4K (HP z27) monitors. So I decided to get a ZBook Studio G7.  But the frustrating mouse lag is still there.

I have researched online a lot but no luck with any of the "suggested workarounds"!
Is this a known issue or something wrong with my devices?
