My Chromebook x360 blacked out as I was working on it. I thought the battery died so I tried charging it, but nothing worked. I took it to get it checked and the tech told me it needs a new motherboard. My husband gave me the laptop for Valentine's Day last year, so it's been about 14 months since I've had it. The warranty has expired, but will HP replace it? I'm assuming it's not typical to have a computer for 14 months and then have it break down.

Basically -- no -- as HP only does equipment repairs or replacement while the warranty is still in effect.
