HP 15s-du3038TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a HP 15s-du3038TX laptop 2 days ago. After a full charge, my batter is discharging from 100% to 10% only in 3 hours. I had only done some copy-pasting activities from my USB drive to the laptop. No any heavy applications ( even my web browser was not running ) were running in the background. I had noted down my laptop's specification below. Why it happens like that?  I am using a 3 cell 41Wh battery.

  • intel core i5-11th gen
  • 8GB DDR4 RAM
  • 256GB SSD & 1TB HDD
  • NVIDIA MX350 2GB
  • No any backlit keyboards or fancy items
  • 15.6" display
  • Windos 10 Home is running (x64)

Hope anyone can give me a support !

Thank You !

@sankha2001

That is normal for a 3 cell 41Wh battery on a 15" machine.

According to the above article, it says battery life mixed usage is upto 5 hours and 15 minutes. How it can be reduced by 2 hours ( My usage is 3 hours as I mentioned above ) without running any heavy applications ?

 I had attached a screenshot of the above article...
