I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions.

Yep
A month later no mail from HP about this issue. Quess I just have to use the Pavillion as target drone for shooting or something else since it cannot be use for it's original purpose and HP don't care.
...Still got 25+ year old Toshiba T-1000 "laptop" in my shelf and it is running perfectly!...

I know this is a very old thread, but I ran into this looking at a friends PC. He has a Pavilion G6 that will not power on, but has an amber light on next to the power plug. If you remove the batter and run on power, still doesn't come on but light turns white. After testing the power supply with a volt meter (tested good) I followed the power button ribbon cable and noticed it was disconnected. Reconnecting the ribbon cable from the power button to the motherboard allowed it to turn back on. It appears that the zif (sp?) conenctor flips up (release) on its own. May need to put a small piece of electrical tape on it to keep it down (closed).
I hope this helps someone.
