Pavilion dv6500
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Pavilion dv6500 with a BIOS version F.59, 11/25/2008, originally came with Vistas, but upgraded to  Windows 10Pro, has become so slow and not recognizing certain hardware like CD-ROM, USB devices. I presume BIOS upgrade could help improve its performance.

Hi:

A BIOS update is not going to make any difference regarding those problems.

Also, the BIOS updates were written to be run on Windows Vista, so if you try to update the BIOS when running W10, you can wreck your notebook.

If you let me know what processor your notebook has (AMD or Intel), I will give you the link to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook and you can decide for yourself what you want to do with it.

Thanks for your response. The Processor in here is Intel(R) Core (TM) DUO
