When I type in MS Word, my laptop is getting restarted showing an error message--"Your Device Ran Into a Problem, Needs to Restart". Please help to fix this.

Does that only happen when you are using Word?

It would help if you provided the name of the operating system you are using.

"Your Device Ran Into a Problem, Needs to Restart" is generally a Windows Blue screen error message.
It refers to more than just a productivity app such as MS Word.

What is the error message in more detail and is there a Blue Screen?

Yes, there was a blue screen, and the message was--"Your Device Ran Into a Problem, Needs to Restart"....and my laptop got restarted automatically...it happened several times

It could be a a hardware, firmware or operating system issue.

IF you are able to access the HP PC Hardware System Diagnostics UEFI utility , do that and run Long system, hard disk and memory tests.

When powering on the notebook, immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the diagnostics.
