x360 Spectre Convertible 13-ae019nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, everyone.

My HP x360 spectre has a problem. Basically after turning it on, a very annoying beep can be heard. Also it can be heard when I start the browser and also in other circumstances. I can't figure out where the problem is coming from. If it is hardware or software.

I have attached the sound, if that is helpful.

I look forward to suggestions and help. Thank you

Hi@Axel0689,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

If the device is booting into windows and then you get the beeping noises while using the laptop, it could be due to the toggle keys, all we have to do, is turn it off, here's how:
1. Windows + X & then Settings, followed by Ease of Access icon.
2 Click/tap on Keyboard on the left side, and turn off
3 When finished, you can close Settings.
4 Restart the device and check if it works

That said, if the device isn't booting up and just beeping, check this article out: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01732674

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Have a great day!

Hi thanks for what you wrote. But the problem with this beep is not only at start-up. When I see a video on Browser (like on Youtube) it can be heard. When I need to hear the volume of the speakers, it can be heard. Basically as if everything that seems to be connected to the audio triggers this annoying and very deafening beep.

Update: I reinstalled the v33 bios I had previously, it seems that it is no longer heard but I noticed that the right speaker is no longer heard, while everything else works. I wonder why! Anyway, I'm always waiting for other suggestions or similar problems.

Hi@Axel0689,

I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Also, Uninstall the Audio driver from the device manager and install the latest drivers and BIOS.
