Hi, I was playing on my Victus (connected to his original charger) and I hear a little “Pop” and the PC randomly turn OFF (100% of charge)

Now the PC won’t turn ON and if I connect the charger it doesn’t shows me any LED.

Hi @Aleee06,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that your Victus laptop suddenly turned off with a “pop” sound while gaming, and now it won’t power on or show any charging LED even when connected to the original charger. Let’s go through a few checks to narrow down the cause:

Troubleshooting steps:

Power Reset (Hard Reset)

Disconnect the charger.

Hold down the power button for 15–20 seconds to discharge any residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try powering it back on.

Check Charger & Power Source

Confirm the wall outlet is working by testing with another device.

Inspect the charger and cable for damage. If available, try a compatible HP charger to rule out adapter failure.

Battery & Charger LED Test

Normally, when you connect the charger, an LED should blink/turn on. If there’s no response at all, it may indicate a power circuit, motherboard, or charging port failure.

Run Without Battery (if removable)

If your model has a removable battery, remove it and try powering on with just the adapter.

Since the laptop made a “pop” sound before shutting down, this could also point to a hardware failure (power supply, motherboard, or internal short circuit). If none of the above steps work, I recommend reaching out to HP Support for service so the device can be inspected and repaired safely.
