HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw1xxx

Purchased a new HP Pavilion laptop in July 2020 and have noticed  in the last few days that when I start up the laptop , there is a continuous whirring sound.

Not sure how to remedy this or appreciate any fault finding pointers - I am not particular tecky so will need some additional guidance - do not think it is because the fan is overheating as only 6 months old.

Thanks

@Debs-G71

I reviewed your post and I understand that there is noise from the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

What is the product number of your computer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi The Fossette

Thank you for your reply.

The product number of my laptop is 6TC73EA.

I have downloaded and updated BIOS with no effect (noise got louder whilst rebooting??) and the whirring noise is still present.

Regarding the graphics driver, I can not see the processor name of my laptop listed.

My processer graphics name is: AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx

Hope this helps.

Much appreciated

If the laptop is under warranty, send it in for repair. If not, try to extend the warranty first.
