I bought HP-OMEN 15-DC0012 almost a year ago. There's a thunderbolt sign on USB-Type C port but specification on HP site says its USB-C with 5 gbps transfer speed. whereas I also conformed by the sales guy who was representing HP. He confirmed it has thunderbolt 3. In fact I chose it after checking 2 3 other laptops.
Now I am planning to buy OMEN Accelerator. and I am doubtful, will it work or no? Is there a way to verify it ?

Thank you for the information.
I checked the specification of your computer and see that you computer doesn't have a thunderbolt port. The sign you see beside the USB C port is for sleep and charge and it is not the thunderbolt sign.
The thunderbolt sign looks like the below image.
I hope that answers your question.
