Hi @Nirmalnithin,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
The message indicating a "low power source detected" generally means that the charger is not providing sufficient power to charge the laptop. This could be due to several reasons. Here are some steps to help you diagnose and resolve the issue:
Check the Power Adapter and Connection
- Ensure Proper Connections: Make sure the power adapter is securely connected to the laptop and plugged into a functioning wall outlet.
- Inspect for Damage: Check the power adapter, cable, and connectors for any visible signs of damage or wear.
- Test with Another Outlet: Plug the charger into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current one.
Use the Correct Power Adapter
- Verify Output Rating: Ensure that the power adapter is compatible with your laptop, and provides the correct voltage and current output as specified by HP.
- Try a Different Adapter: If possible, use a different HP-compatible power adapter to see if the issue persists.
Update BIOS
- Download and install the latest BIOS update for your exact model.

Perform a Power Reset
- Turn Off the Laptop: Shut down the laptop completely.
- Unplug All Power Sources: Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery if it's removable.
- Discharge Power: Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power.
- Reconnect and Try Again: Reinstall the battery, connect the power adapter, and try to power on the laptop.
Take care and have an amazing day!
