Product: Pavilion dv6-6c20eo
Operating System: Linux

My notebook (HP Pavilion dv6-6c20eo) was running good till the fan sounded so crazy. It sounds loud and like its hitting on something. I tried opening the notebook but with no success. I have also bought a laptop cooler to cool down my notebook. Before that i bought one the notebook would shutdown in an attempt to stop overheating. Please help!

To resolve issues such as Fan is Noisy:

  • Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
  • Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
  • Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
  • Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
  • Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Uhh that’s if you use windows, i use linux (Fedora Workstation).
