Hi @Pandiyan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Notebook 14s laptop battery. Here are a few steps you can follow to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.

Check Battery Health:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant.
  • Navigate to the "Battery" section to see the health and status of your battery.

Perform a Battery Test:

  • Turn off your laptop.
  • Turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  • Press F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Select "Component Tests" and then "Battery."

Calibrate the Battery:

  • Fully charge the battery to 100%.
  • Disconnect the power and let the battery drain completely until the laptop shuts down.
  • Recharge the battery to 100% without interruption.

Update BIOS and Drivers:

  • Open the HP Support Assistant and check for updates.
  • Install any available BIOS or driver updates.

Check Power Settings:

  • Go to "Settings" > "System" > "Power & sleep."
  • Make sure your power settings are optimized for performance.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure the battery is properly seated.
  • Look for any signs of damage or swelling.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, your battery might be faulty and need replacing.

To ensure you get an original HP battery for your HP Notebook - 14s laptop, here are some recommended steps.

  • Order Directly from HP: Visit HP's official website to purchase an original replacement battery directly. This ensures you're getting a genuine HP product.
  • Authorized HP Retailers: Check if there are authorized HP retailers or stores in your area. These retailers are authorized by HP to sell genuine HP products, including batteries.
  • HP Authorized Service Centers: If there's an HP authorized service center near you, they can provide you with an original battery for your laptop.
  • Check Product Packaging: When purchasing online or from a store, ensure the battery packaging has HP branding and is labeled as an original product. Look for genuine HP holograms or authenticity labels.
  • Product Registration: After purchasing the battery, consider registering your HP product on the official HP website. This can sometimes provide additional warranty benefits and ensure HP recognizes your product.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
