My laptop could not recognize battery. PLEASE HELP.

The battery is not detected into my laptop. i don't know whether it is a hardware or softwareI have tried troubelshooting the battery issue along with updating BIOS(which i was provided by HP support), but of no use. looking for some help ASAP.

Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

I have followed the procedure but still facing the same issue. Don’t know whether problem is with the battery or laptop hardware.

Did the Diagnostics run a battery test?

If so, was there a result.

going through similar deal. 

Battery swelled big time, almost popped out my trackpad. 

Went to HP certified repair shop - had them order and swap out new battery. 

came back to office and plugged laptop in and start working great. then looked down and saw battery wasnt actually charging. when i click on the icon it actually shows an "x" and hover text says "No Battery is Detected". 

I updated the BIOS. 

I ran component check > power > battery  --- said "no battery detected"

I used HP assistant to check battery, also says " no battery detected". 

I've restarted the laptop over many times, draining power by hold power button down for 5, 10, 30 seconds, even over 1 minute. still have same issue. then i tried another where someone suggested holding down power and F6, still didnt work. 

I uninstalled adaptor and battery drivers in device manager, restarted, and still same issue. 

Thinking what else can I do?
