HP Envy 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Envy 15 Notebook PC that I bought in 2015 February. Unfortunately, the left hinge that connects the monitor to the keyboard is broken and I cannot close the monitor now. The notebook is working perfectly fine. Is there a way to get the damage fixed? I am out of warranty period now. I checked at a Best Buy store near me. They initially gave me an estimate of about $300 to fix it but then later checked up their parts inventory and confirmed that they do not have parts for my model. Though I am being advised to go in for a new laptop, I just want to check whether repairing is an option at all. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
