HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Investigation proven BIOS out of date.  Cannot update to Windows 10 "Features updates" for two years.  Update downloads but cannot install.  Spoke with Microsoft who analyzed my system for problem.  Identified issue as out of date BIOS.  I have tried the automated HP website and Support website.  No access for updating BIOS found.  How do I request or download a BIOS update.

My system is out of warranty but that should not prevent me getting an update to operating BIOS and Windows "Features".

Please direct me to the exact correct link for this process.

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook?

Use this guide to find that information...

HP Notebook PCs - How Do I Find My Product Name or Number? | HP® Customer Support

Please note that no g6 notebook is supported by HP for W10, and there will be no BIOS updates written to be run on W10.

If your notebook is over 10 years old, HP has retired support for it, and it will be hard to find any BIOS updates.
