Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have used this laptop for 3 years now and lately, I've been wanting to upgrade it but I know nothing about RAM or SSD. So I need some advice about what should I get for my laptop.

Here are some specs:

Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit Version: 18362.295

Intel(R) Core(TM) m3-6Y30 CPU @ 0.90GHz

System memory is 4GB with 2 slots, each has a 2GB Elpida 1600MHz.

So I want to upgrade it for better gameplay (I play The Sims 4) and I'm wondering what should I get for my laptop. I want to upgrade the memory to at least 8GB, I don't know much about SSD so I need some advice about what brand and how much I need to upgrade.

Really appreciate it if anyone can help me.

Thanks in advance.
