Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my laptop ram by adding 4gb or 8gb ram. It is preinstalled with hynix 4gb ddr4 1866 mhz. The ram which is available in the market are having more than 1866mhz  speed.. Like 2400 mhz and others. Please help me by giving a substitute to it.

The specs of your machine is

 

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06294070

 

Please install 2400MHz RAM, it will automatically downgrade to 1866MHz.

 

Machine supports 16GB or even 32GB. You can use following RAM to upgrade to

 

(a) 16GB:  install 8GB each on both slots using

                 https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k8g4sfs824a/ct15224584

(b) 32GB:   install 16GB each on both slots using

                https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd824a/ct15224548

 

Note: RAM will run at 1866MHz and as mentioned above, you can use SAME 4GB Hynix RAM if you only wish to have 8GB in total.

I want to upgrade the ram and put in the slot available, so that the previous one(hynix 4gb ddr4 1866mhz)and new one will work together and simultaneously. Please suggest me a hynix 4gb and crucial 4gb ram which will be compatible with the laptop. Thanks in advance
