Need help to ID component slot and specs on a HP Pavilion dv7-1464nr laptop.

HP Recommended
Pavilion dv7-1464nr

Hi,

I have a Win Vista era HP Pavilion dv7-1464nr laptop in like-new condition I'd like to repurpose. Like many of these DV7's, the onboard video chip becomes de-soldered from the motherboard and that means no display from either the Laptop's LCD or any VGA or HDMI inputs (without cost prohibitive motherboard replacement or a re-balling/re-baking of the existing board).

I see there's what looks like may be an optional graphics card slot under the bottom cover. The slot has an icon that looks like an upside-down monitor on the pink frame surrounding the slot. I can't find any references to this slot. I've attached some pics that may help. There's also nothing at the driver page here:

or nothing in the service guide here:

Does anyone have any idea what that slot's supposed to be used for, and its specs? I'm thinking if it's a graphics card slot, an inexpensive card in there might light up the LCD monitor again.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

Regards . . .
