Dear All,

My HP Pavilion dv6 was not working and i was advised to replace the mother board. please suggest where can i purchase a motherboard for HP Pavilion dv6 - 6180se.

That could be tricky, given your region of the world location. 

 

It will depend on the features the  motherboard has, as in the chipset, processor, discrete video or UMA (processor video) and from where in the world it was purchased. The chipset will match the installed processor.

Once you determine the answer to what I stated before, you can look in eBay or search online to find a vendor that is regionally local to you as a source and best price.

 

Personally, I would source a replacement notebook. 

The OS that was installed on the dead system board, unless it was Linux, will not be licensed to work with the new one, so there is one added expense.
