HP Spectre x360 15T-df100 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm hoping that I am in the correct discussion board.  I did not see laptops as an option, so I chose Notebooks.

I recently purchased a Spectre x360 15T-df100 CTO laptop and I noticed that it seems to be running very hot at times.  I use it on a hard surface, so it is not on a comforter or on my lap.  I have the keyboard lights off and the screen display fairly dim.  I am teaching online, so I do have to use Zoom about 6 hours per week (3 hours at a time).  I definitely notice the laptop heating up when I am using Zoom.  I try to keep my video off when using this app.  I do have to screenshare quite a bit. So, I am looking for suggestions to this temperature issue.  My questions include:

Are there any settings that I could adjust on the laptop or on Zoom to help with this temperature issue?

Should I get a cooling pad?  If so, recommendations?

I'm not sure how to check the CPU temperature.  How do I do that?

How do I determine the critical/maximum temp. for the processor in this laptop?

Any help you can give me would be appreciated.  I'm hoping I made a good purchase.
