Pavilion 360
Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

Hello.

I just recently bought a new Hp pavilion 360. And it really upsets me as soon I opened it . It made a weird noise from the fan and it started to get warm.

Is it normal. I just got it yesterday.

The answer to both is yes -- for different reasons.

The new laptops have much more powerful processors than the older ones, the cases are thinner, and the fans are smaller -- all adding to increased heat.

As to the fan noise, a new laptop is going to contact Microsoft to get Windows Updates once it is connected to the Internet.  MS will then take over the PC, driving the processor up to 100% and the disk usage up to 100%.  This will continue until all updates are downloaded and installed -- and this will repeat itself every week after that, as MS pushes out updates every week.  You have no choice other than to put up with that when you are running Windows 10.
