HP ENVY Notebook - m7-n109dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Greetings and Salutations to One and All,

I have a HP ENVY Notebook - m7-n109dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR).

I need to replace my motherboard.

Can someone please give me a part number of an upgraded motherboard that will fit inside the Envy m7????

Thanks so much

Richard K

The top motherboard for the series is this

Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor 950M 4 GB 829066-xx1

All system boards use the following part numbers:

xxxxxx-001: Without the Windows operating system

xxxxxx-501: Windows 8.1 Standard

xxxxxx-601: Windows 10

So you would want   829066-601

This is not going to be a spectacular upgrade. CPU would go from i7-6500U to i7-6700HQ and video from GeForce 940M 2gb to Geforce 950M 4gb. The price of the motherboard is higher than the added value in my opinion but there you have it. If you thought you could upgrade to more current hardware, that is just not possible as the motherboard has to be engineered to fit in your laptop chassis and the link above is the best that will fit.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Thank you so much for the info.

My cat spilled water underneath my laptop and the motherboard is rusting.  A new motherboard is required at some point.  I was hoping for a significant upgrade. But... the minor upgrade doesn't seem enough so  think my best bet is a new laptop.
